Why did Slow Road Photo create the Collective? The Slow Road Family is growing!! In addition to family photography, we also provide School Picture Day for schools all across the Twin Cities (which is how we met many of you)! As our school photography division has grown in such a HUGE way over the past year, we have been dreaming about how to create a way to provide you with the most beautiful experience for your family, utilizing the gifts of the photographers who work with us. The Slow Road Collective is our way to create exponentially more booking opportunities for you while also supporting and empowering the talented women who make up Slow Road Photo.

Why should I book a session through the Collective?

• When you book your photography session through a member of the Slow Road Collective, you are getting direct access to work with the photographers that your children (and you) connect with best!

• You will now have many more types of sessions and locations to choose from, as each Collective photographer has a unique menu of session types and pricing- every family will be able to find the perfect session type, price, and location to fit your budget and preferences.

• The photographers who work on the Slow Road Photo team are some of the most gifted family photographers in the Twin Cities. In the past they have worked under our brand, but as we grow and look for ways for our rising tide to lift every boat, we are excited for your session booking to help develop and grow the businesses of women artists all across the Twin Cities.

Does this mean that my session will no longer be booked through Slow Road Photo? Your session will still take place with a Slow Road Certified photographer- one of our team members who has been specifically trained in providing you with the same warm, heartfelt, and joyful family photography experience you have come to know. The actual booking and payment will happen directly with the team photographer instead of through us, but the process from start to finish will still have Slow Road feels all over it!

Am I still able to book a session through your website? When you are ready to book a family session, you can do so by clicking directly on the picture of the photographer you would like to work with. Instead of selecting your date and purchase the session right on the Slow Road website, you will now book your session directly with the photographer you choose.

Can I still do my session at the Slow Road Studio? Absolutely! The Studio will continue to be available for you to use for your session. Simply let your photographer know that you would prefer that location and they will make it happen! Are you tired of the studio and ready for something new? Get ready- these photographers know ALL the best spots in the Twin Cities and you can work together to design your ideal session location.

Are Mini Sessions still available? Our Collective photographers offer all kinds of sessions, including Mini Sessions! They will be so happy to help you get your session on the books and answer any questions you have when you contact them through the Collective page HERE.
